Participants are presented with a continuous development plan through these four comprehensive management and leadership training programmes.

A varied choice of discipline-specific programmes challenge managers and business leaders to develop into confident decision-makers within a specific field. Programmes are offered in the disciplines of Agriculture, Coaching, Finance, General Programmes, Human Resources, Leadership, Marketing and Project Management. Workshops and events are also presented.

nmdpUSB-ED's New Managers' Development Programme (NMDP) is aimed at supervisors, new managers and individuals earmarked for entry into management positions. It focuses on the building of leadership and management skills, complemented by some basic functional skills. Participants gain the confidence and capability to respond effectively to current and future business challenges.

 

mdpThe Management Development Programme (MDP) is intended for middle managers who manage others and who wish to grow and develop their managerial abilities. This programme equips managers with the competence to implement their organisations' strategic objectives. The MDP brings real business benefits to participants and their organisations by providing a broader understanding of management and leadership.

 

smdpOur Senior Management Development Programme (SMDP) is aimed at senior managers from any industry who focus more on operations than on strategy, and are eager to benchmark and further their potential. Participants are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to function effectively in a uniquely southern African environment. Once participants have completed this programme, they may enrol for the BA(Hons) in Business Management via distance learning and work-based projects with the University of Lincoln in the UK.

 

edpThe Executive Development Programme (EDP) brings together high calibre executive managers with strategic management responsibilities to engage in three important areas that are integrated in this programme: strategic leadership, the formulation of strategy and the implementation of strategy. The EDP equips participants with integrated strategic management skills that enable them to position their organisations to compete more successfully within a highly competitive global environment.
