Leaders Angle

Monthly talks by high-level speakers from South Africa and abroad

• Aim of the event: The Leaders Angle talks on all aspects of leadership are an outflow of the USBs strong focus on leadership development in its MBA programme and executive education programmes, and on its research in this field. Through presenting the Leaders Angle, the USB shares leadership know-how with a broader audience.

• Hosts: Leader's Angle is presented by the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB), the USB Alumni Association, USB Executive Development Ltd (USB-ED) and the Institute for Futures Research at Stellenbosch University, in association with Finweek.

• When and where: The Leaders Angle events take place at the Bellville Park Campus of the University of Stellenbosch Business School in Bellville. The events usually start with a light breakfast at 07:00 for 07:30. From time to time, Leader's Angle is also presented at other venues in South Africa and in neighbouring countries. • Previous speakers: Guest speakers over the past three years included Dr Johan van Zyl (CEO of Sanlam), André Labuschagne (former managing director of PEP), Thebe Ikalafeng (award-winning founder of the company Brand Leadership), Prof Bob Garratt (international management guru in Corporate Governance), Judith  Glaser (listed in Excellence 100 Consultants, accomplished author and 2004 Business Woman of the Year in New York City), Ton Vosloo (chairman of Media24 and independent non-executive chairman of the board of Naspers), Julia Long (CEO of HBD Venture Capital), Steven Cady (American author and expert on Whole Systems Change), Rhoda Kadalie (human rights activist), Microsoft South Africa (team) and Jimmy Manyi (commissioner of the Employment Equity Commission).
