USB Executive Development (USB-ED), the public company of the University of Stellenbosch (US), was again awarded a PMR.africa Diamond Arrow Award under the category of Foreign Business Schools offering Executive Education (short courses) in Namibia.
The reward is done annually by Professional Management Review (PMR) Africa, a consulting, research and risk management services company.
This is the third time that USB-ED received the PMR.africa award in Namibia, following similar PMR.africa award in Botswana in 2014 and 2015. USB-ED also received a PMR.africa award for the fifth time in February this year for being the top provider of Academic Institutions offering executive education (short courses) in South Africa.
The survey, conducted during August and September 2015, is based on PMR Africa's annual Country Survey in Namibia with a random national sample of 160 respondents comprising of CEO's, MD's, business owners, company directors and managers, senior local and national government officials being interviewed.
USB-ED's mean score in the Namibian survey was 4.14 out of a possible 5.00 points, rated against the following criteria:
- Companies/institutions that have done most to enhance the economic growth and development of Namibia over the past twelve months
- Levels of managerial expertise
- Implementation of corporate governance
- Brand awareness
- Levels of innovation
