USB Executive Development (USB-ED), the public company of the University of Stellenbosch, maintained its position in Botswana as top provider of Executive Education in the category Foreign Business schools offering executive education (short courses) in the country.
The annual country-wide survey in Botswana includes all major industry sectors. This is the second time that USB-ED was part of the survey outside SA and again received the Diamond Arrow award issued by Professional Management Review (PMR). This is the highest award a company or institution can achieve in this field.
Surveyed companies and institutions are rated on a scale of 1.00 - 5.00, with 1.00 being poor and 5.00 outstanding. The following criteria are used:
- companies/institutions that have done most to enhance economic growth and development of the country
- levels of managerial expertise
- implementation of corporate governance
- brand awareness
- levels of innovation
USB-ED received a rating of 4.20 out of a possible 5.00.
USB-ED CEO, Frik Landman, said USB-ED’s vision for Africa and our role in it, keeps us motivated and constantly reaching higher. The second PMR award in Botswana is therefore a further affirmation and motivates us to continue on our collaborative journey on the continent.
“For USB-ED it remains unacceptable that a continent endowed with so many natural resources and youth must endure the status of the poorest continent. What we choose to do about it, is what matters and we chose to equip leaders with management and leadership skills,” Landman said.
