On 25 November, 18 national finalists of the inaugural STEP UP LET’S LEAD
2013 National Youth Leader Awards were recognised.
During the year, underprivileged high school learners from Grades 9-11 were bussed to and from cinemas nationwide to watch the STEP UP LET’S LEAD film, which was aimed at introduce them to the fundamentals of leadership.
There was also a STEP UP LET’s LEAD
competition where finalists demonstrated their leadership qualities and how they have implemented these qualities in their respective schools and/or communities. Pictured here are the 9 boys and 9 girls from around the country that have shown the strongest leadership skills.
