The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL)
was ranked sixth in the 2011 Financial Times world-wide executive education survey and has been placed in the Top 10 for seven consecutive years. It remains the only institution among the 50 surveyed that specialises in leadership education and research. In 2008, USB-ED began its collaboration with CCL
to present the Leader Development Programme in South Africa, and has since become CCL
’s official partner in Africa.
According to USB-ED’s CEO, Frik Landman
: “The laboratory of leadership is life and African life tests our leadership daily. I am convinced that CCL
continues to assist us in tapping into the vitality and spirit of our own emerging leaders.”
The four-day Leader Development Programme
is a life-changing experience where leaders learn leadership from the inside out. Participants learn strategies for continuous development through extensive assessment, group discussions, self-reflection, small-group activities and personal coaching. It is aimed at mid- to senior-level managers who are willing to listen to what others say about them – and take positive action based on that feedback – in exchange for becoming a more effective leader. The practical nature of the programme allows leaders to understand how their personality and behavioural patterns influence their leadership style. It also enables leaders to build and maintain even more productive relationships; to develop others and to lead change in the workplace context.
In 2012 there will be two opportunities to enrol for the Leader Development Programme
in South Africa. The first will take place from 15 – 18 May 2012 and the second from 21 – 24 August 2012 at the Mont Fleur Conference Venue, Blaauwklippen Valley, Stellenbosch.
