 A Partnership of the Minds

2012-03-05 00:00
What if you could improve leadership, learning and change initiatives in your organisation? What if you could gain insight into the observable aspects of neuroscience, and modulate your interventions in your work environment?

USB Executive Development (USB-ED), the executive education company of the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB), has formed a partnership with the NeuroLeadership Institute. In collaboration, they present a Certificate in NeuroLeadership, which features a science-based, action learning programme that endeavours to connect the fields of leadership development and neuroscience. The goal of this partnership is to achieve even greater, more sustainable and comprehensive leadership development in Africa.
What distinguishes the NeuroLeadership Institute, a global human-performance consultancy, from other performance consultancies is its work within the field of neuroscience.  By drawing from the latest findings in this field and translating these into valuable brain-based coaching, the Certificate in NeuroLeadership programme enables individuals to enhance their effectiveness, helps leaders improve the quality of their conversations, and trains and certifies executive and personal coaches.
The Certificate in NeuroLeadership has been designed for those that desire to affect change, educate, or understand the latest science of the brain in order to improve human and organisational performance. The programme is presented by African lecturers who are experts in the relevant neuroscience fields, and equips participants to apply their acquired knowledge to their existing work, projects, and programmes.
The Benefits
This programme applies to whole team learning, as well as individuals, whether they have considerable leadership experience or are new to leadership. Participants will gain a greater understanding of the brain and how it works, will learn how to think and perform better, and will acquire an understanding of how to self-regulate and handle pressure with more aplomb. Participants will also begin to collaborate more effectively with others, learn how to support the development of sustainable change, and have access to cutting-edge tools and strategies. As they begin to deliver exceptional results in their workplace context, all of this will combine to have a striking impact on the organisation in a more holistic sense.
These benefits can be realised in a wide range of areas: from corporations, consultancies, coaching practices and public sector entities, to community and educational settings.
