International Accreditation

The School's international standing and reputation was confirmed when the USB became the very first business school in Africa to receive the EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) accreditation. The School was awarded this accreditation by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) in 2000.

In 2002 the USB achieved its second distinction by being the first business school of a South African university to achieve the international AMBA accreditation from the UK-based Association of MBAs. This confirms the world standard of its MBA programme and serves to assure prospective students that a business degree from the USB compares with the best in the world.

Accreditation Status

USB-ED is accredited with the Higher Education Quality Council (HEQC) of the Council on Higher Education (CHE) under the auspices of the University of Stellenbosch. USB-ED does not have an accreditation number as the HEQC does not issue accreditation numbers to legally constituted training institutions.
