Content overview
This programme is presented over a period of 6 months and consists of 3 study schools of 4 to 5 days each. During study schools, learners have the opportunity to learn from seasoned coaching professionals, practise their own skills in small groups, and share their learning experiences with co-learners.
A number of practical days are scheduled between study schools to allow for learners to exchange lessons learnt from professional practice and to refine their personal coaching skills. During this complete process, learners need to coach and be coached to hone their coaching skills further. Participants are requested to coach for 20 hours and be coached for 10 hours during the course of this programme as part of their continuous professional development. They are required to pay for their own coaching and may charge a fee, should they feel confident about their own coaching skills. Reflection upon coaching practice is encouraged and supported throughout the programme, since this is an integral part of professional coaching.
Three assignments (of which two are practical) must be completed during this programme. The completion of practical assignments is facilitated during practical days.
